    BTN Europe’s annual rundown of the people, products and trends redefining the business travel industry. Who's driving change or leading business travel's recovery? Which companies or products are turning heads? What travel trends are going to punctuate the year ahead? And who are the rising stars to keep an eye on? Nominations were open to the entire industry in Nov-Dec 2022 and the final Hotlist is selected by the BTN Europe team in collaboration with a team of former ‘Hotlisters’ and industry figureheads.

    BTN Europe’s first Spotlight report of the year will examine the key trends impacting travel management companies and their customers in 2023, specifically:

    • Evolving commercial models and fees
    • Whether, and how, skills shortages are still affecting service delivery
    • The subscription model: does it have a future?
    • How and where are TMCs investing
    • Plus, 4sight: Four TMC leaders share their views

    BTN Europe will re-launch the Corporate Travel Index, an essential tool providing average costs of hotels, taxis and meals in 50 key European cities, as well as destination risk ratings.

    The platform will enable users to establish per diems for their selected cities by choosing their preferred hotel category, from economy to luxury, and monitor cost changes throughout the year. The tool is powered by data from key business travel industry partners – meaning the data reflects corporate rates – and will be updated quarterly.

    Accompanying the launch of CTI Europe is analysis of pricing movement across travel categories and regional variations around Europe, as well as a glimpse of what the future might hold as travel volumes recover.

    Air travel is the focus of this second instalment of BTN Europe’s new Spotlight series and, while we’ll be confirming exact content in early March, it’s likely this collection will include articles on NDC and how some airlines are beginning to remove content from traditional distribution channels, plus guidance on pricing and securing airline deals, and a round-up of new airlines products on the ground, online and onboard.
